Arch Oboler, the film writer / producer / director of property - one of the most demanding "apocalypse" films of all time, Five in an elaborate house of Frank Lloyd Wright-designed set. The "five" of the title are the only survivors of a nuclear catastrophe, which all against all logic of convergence in this house. William Phipps, the hero remained untouched by the explosion because he was alone in an elevator Empire State Building! He is the first to get home, and joined the rapidlyConsequence of a pregnant woman (Susan Douglas), a Fascist Soldier of Fortune (James Anderson), an American goalkeeper (Charles Lampkin) and shocked bank clerk (Earl Lee). The friendly staff will soon die of radiation, so that the remaining four are too big and boring to keep track of all that philosophy. Take a long, long time, only the hero and the woman are left alive to make the bit "Adam and Eve." Although Arch Oboler was one of the largest radio-writer of all time, Fivedemonstrates that he was in over his head like a film, the dialogue recalls the laughter as deep thinking, and the plot is the plot holes big enough to drive trucks through.
